Please join Chief Horticulturalist, Debbie Hughes, as she shares her knowledge of honey bees and other key pollinators at the Edison Ford Estates. This program is being hosted in honor of National Honey Bee Day on August 17. Bees were an important component of the working estate for their cross pollination and honey productive capabilities. They kept up two beehives on site and supplies included one hive and one full comb. Bee hives were probably kept near the caretaker's cottage in this decade.
