Join Automotive Curator, James Moss, as he highlights Edison's work on the world's earliest electric vehicles. This presentation will be based around the collections electric tractor. The Fordson tractor, manufactured by Henry Ford and Son, Inc., was the first lightweight, mass-produced tractor that was affordable to the average farmer. The tractor was powered by a 4 cylinder, 3 speed, 20 horsepower engine was in production in the United States between 1917 and 1928.
